I am an interdisciplinary artist, working across gestural drawing, ceramics, ecology, food and alchemy. I am also an educator, programme curator, project manager and culinary researcher. Interested in urban and environmental research, materiality, and alchemy, I work within these realms to create works and projects that are socially engaged, robust and intensive.
I earned my MA in Curatorial Practice from the Bath School of Art and Design (2012), and my BFA in Sculpture from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design (2009). I previously led and developed the community programme at Sharjah Art Foundation, and I currently develop education projects independently and in collaboration with institutions including Art Jameel, Warehouse 421, and the Beacon House National Trust University. I was a culinary navigator, podcast host and researcher with Frying Pan Adventures, the co-founder and curator of Forsa School; a community school for creative professionals designed to navigate these tumultuous times, the co-founder and curator of The Alchemy of Dyeing; an educational and research platform dedicated to alchemical and organic colour-making, the co-founder and curator of Daftar Asfar; an artist sketchbook publishing platform. In the culinary world I have cooked, written and curated for; Rewilding the Kitchen (Alserkal Arts Foundation), East East World, The Confused Arab and 421.
I have presented my work at Colomboscope (2024), Design Doha Biennial (2024), Art Dubai (2019, 2020, 2024), Alserkal Arts Foundation (2023), 421 (2022) and the Jameel Arts Centre (2021). I am an alumna of MMAG Foundation (2024), SEAF (Shaikha Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist Fellowship) (2021) and Campus Art Dubai 8.0 (2020).
